Are the Delta Dental products available in other states?

Yes. Delta Dental of Illinois can cover your employees no matter where they live or work. 

What is the difference between the Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier networks?

Delta Dental PPO is a dental preferred provider organization, or PPO. Delta Dental PPO network dentists have agreed to accept significantly reduced fees as payment-in-full, which are typically 15-30% below maximum plan allowance fees.

Delta Dental Premier is a traditional fee-for-service program. Delta Dental Premier network dentists have agreed to accept Delta's maximum plan allowances as payment-in-full. This means they cannot "balance bill" Delta patients for any difference between their submitted charge and Delta's maximum plan allowance.

Where is Delta Dental of Illinois' claim processing center?

Does Delta Dental require "predetermination" of benefits?

Predetermination is the review of a treatment plan before starting treatment. It enables us to notify the enrollee and the dentist which proposed services are allowed under an employer's plan, what Delta's reimbursement will be and what the enrollee's copayment will be. Predetermination is not mandatory. However, we strongly recommend that enrollees ask their dentist to request a predetermination for all dental work that is anticipated to cost $200 or more.

What is the minimum size group you insure?

We offer dental benefit programs to Illinois-based employers with two or more eligible employees.
