Delta Dental of Illinois recognizes the importance of employee benefits as a component of its total compensation structure. We are pleased to provide a comprehensive level of benefits to our regular part-time and full-time employees as outlined below. Details of the benefits program are available upon request to job applicants.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Eligible employees (20+ hours) accrue paid time off starting with their first paydate.

Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

These benefits are available to all eligible employees (30+ hours).  The effective date is the first of the month coinciding with or following 30 days of employment.

Group Term Life Insurance and AD&D

Group Term Life Insurance and AD&D is provided to all eligible employees (30+ hours).  Under the Group Term Life Insurance Policy, there is a Dependent Life Insurance provision, which covers spouses and/or dependent children.  Delta Dental of Illinois pays the full premium of these benefits.

Group Supplemental Term Life Insurance

Eligible employees (30+ hours) may apply for additional term life insurance for themselves, their spouse, and/or dependents at an additional cost.

Disability Insurance

Short-term disability and long-term disability insurance are available to eligible employees (30+ hours).  Delta Dental of Illinois pays the full premium of these benefits.

Section 125 Plan

The Company's Section 125 Plan allows eligible employees the choice of paying for required contributions for certain benefits on a pre-tax or after-tax basis. The plan also features pre-tax "flexible spending accounts" for certain unreimbursed health and dependent care expenses.

Employee Assistance Program

All employees of Delta Dental of Illinois are welcome to take advantage of a full-service employee assistance program that offers many types of services such as legal advice, financial advice, grief counseling, substance abuse counseling, elder care guidance, family matters, etc.

Tuition Reimbursement

Up to $3,000 per year may be paid to eligible employees (40.0 hours) through our tuition reimbursement program.  Courses must relate to current position or reasonably attainable position within the company and a passing grade must be earned.  Eligibility for this benefit is 6 months of service.

Retirement Plans
401(k) Plan

All employees (except seasonal or temporary) may participate in the Company's 401(k) Plan.  Age 21 and the first of the month following their hire date (provided the pay period end date is after the first of the month) are the eligibility requirements.  The plan provides employees the opportunity to save for retirement by way of pre-tax (traditional 401(k)) or after-tax (Roth 401(k)) deductions from their paychecks, subject to various limitations and conditions.  There are several investment options to choose from, including LifeTime portfolio funds, and Delta Dental of Illinois provides an employer Safe Harbor Match.  Daily valuation and internet/phone access make it easy for employees to monitor and manage their retirement money.

Profit Sharing Plan

This is a discretionary company contribution, based on the Board of Directors' approval each year.  If approved, payment is made to your 401(k) account.  Eligibility is at least age 21 and must be employed on the last day of the plan year.

Annual Incentive Compensation Plan

This is a cash bonus plan to reward employees for helping DDIL achieve and exceed our performance goals.  If approved, payment is calculated as a percentage of an employee's annual base earnings or salary.
